A 24h Holter ECG recorder is used for collecting several hours of 3 – or even more – channel ECG recordings in order to identify possible cardiac abnormalities. Collected data are processed and analysed by a Holter software. Connecting a 24h Holter ECG recorder to the PC can be done by a special optoelectronic communication cable, however, certain Holter ECG monitors are capable of wireless communication with a computer using Bluetooth technology as well. Meditech Holter ECG monitors operate with a standard memory card, which has to be inserted into a card reader unit in order to be able to transfer data from these 24h Holter ECG devices to the PC.

CardioVisions Holter software offers a wide range of ECG viewing screens and analysis functions and it provides the possibility for the User to modify the automatic classification of heart beats after uploading collected data to the PC. The software shows full-disclosure Holter ECG annotation, automatic ST analysis, tachogram review and HRV statistics illustrated by coloured charts and graphs for the better understanding. The User can create and print both standard and customized freely editable reports by the report generator software.

Recordings, made by Holter 24h ECG devices, can either be analysed by the Holter software run by only a single User, or they can be processed in a computer network which can be used by multiple Users as well.
